
May 18 (next Monday) is the 33rd International Museum Day. On that day, the Palace Museum will hold a series of activities themed on "Embrace the culture in the Palace Museum". For instance, several noted ceramic experts of the Palace Museum will give free on-spot lessons, and a hands-on activity area will be set before Jianting Square, where visitors can join such activities as painting dragon robe, coloured drawing of plaster molds of emperor and queen, etc.

On May 18, 58 museums in Beijing will be open to the public, and 37 among them will be free, including the Capital Museum and the Museum of Natural History, Luxun Museum, Mei Lanfang Memorial Hall, etc. Besides, 65 museums and memorial halls in Shanghai will be free to the public next Monday, including Shanghai Museum, Shanghai Art Museum, etc.
